- Bug where 'Line type 3' got the down line wrong should now
- be fixed.
- Bug reported where the 'Ansi' filetype did not appear to be
- known. This should now be cured.
- Complaint about the 'CTRL Z' (CHR$(26)) appearing at the end
- of a file. There is now a prompt for this (See !Help).
- Can now select line type by pointing with mouse.
- Various changes to the appearance. Eg were possible only
- redisplays the changed part of the screen for deletion and
- insertion of lines.
- Now when selecting option with the mouse the pointer should
- be over the top of your choice.
- Now resets back to the system font correctly.

- Bug where 'CAPS LOCK' wasn't always detected as been on or
- off as now been fixed.
- Swap screen shouldn't now clear the entire screen first.
- Paint and wash now update the screen as the routine is
- carried out. This means no more waiting for the screen to be
- redisplayed in its updated form.
- The problem with the function keys 'f1' to 'f8' has
- hopefully been cured.
- The draw bug where sometimes the wrong box piece was
- selected is now hopefully cured.
- Pattern mode now implemented when draw mode is also switched
- on.

- Use of the Mouse has now been greatly improved.
- Save option has been improved and now produces an even more
- compact file.
- The '!AnsiEdit' sprite icon changed.
- The '!AnsiEdit' palette changed. The displayer and editor
- had a different dull yellow.

- The proper User Guide now greatly improved.
- Quit and clear now work properly from the desktop.
- Major upgrading of a lot of routines. Now numeric variables
- are held as integers (%) so may help increase the speed.
- The saved files hopefully are a bit more compressed than

- Now hopefully runs in the desktop MODE. This means if
- earlier versions went wrong on your monitor they will
- hopefully now work with '!AnsiEdit'.
- Now uses SYS commands to gain information about files so
- hopefully works equally well on both RISC OS 2 & 3.
- Washing and painting of areas now allowed.
- A new file format for Archimedes use and not PC's has been
- added 'BBC Font'.
- Control characters now properly appear between the [?].

- removed as options.
- The way a file is saved is now user definable. A collection
- of such files are provided (such as scrambled and
- backwards).
- Due to the complete rewrite of Ansi and BBC Font save
- routines they possibly produce a slightly smaller file (or
- not as the case may be).
- The 'Reverse' and 'Pause' options have now been added.
- Now the front-end, editor and menu system have been made
- 'MessageTrans' friendly.

- If a file is bigger than the screen then once loaded will
- redisplay the contents of the editors screen tables.
- Should now correctly display text files.
- Allows transparency when moving and copying blocks.
- After selecting an area automatically highlights it.
- Bug fixed involving greyed out sub-menu entries. (This bug
- may possibly have never happened with earlier versions of
- the editor, although would have existed).
- Fixed menu system bug where selecting on the menus title bar
- caused the editor to exit with an error.

- Can't turn pattern mode on from the desktop if no pattern
- selected.
- If pattern mode is saved as on and the options loaded with
- no selected pattern then pattern mode is turned off again.
- Should now be compatible with the 'MouseOpt' module for
- replacing the mouse with the cursor keys. Module needs to be
- loaded.
- Default background bug fixed.
- Now allows the editors options to be loaded, saved deleted
- and reset to there defaults from the editor as well as the
- desktop front-end.

- doing commands, well Major and Minor warnings can now be
- toggled on and off.

- 'Preferences' window.
- Possible to turn cursor co-ordinates on and off.
- Global colour change can now prompt before changing colours.
- All block command should now leave the block highlighted if
- it was highlighted prior to the command been executed.

- PLEASE NOTE

- All configurable options are set so they operate according
- to how old versions of the options worked. Eg by default
- all warnings will still appear. It is up to the user to
- change them if required. Before changing any options it is
- strongly advised that the user guide is carefully read to
- avoid any disastrious results occuring.

- Bug fixed where Ctrl & Right cursor didn't move properly.
- Bug fixed where when 'Major' and 'Minor' warnings where
- turned off, they would cause the move block option to
- incorrectly state the block was already deleted.
- If the 'Default Background' colour is changed it will now be
- saved correctly. (See 'UserGuide' for more information)
- All windows can now be opended by clicking on the menu
- options, and all windows now have a Back and Close icon.
- Now, even if a resource is missing, for example 'Palette',
- the editor should still be loaded. (See 'UserGuide' for more
- information)

- Version 2.30 (02-Oct-1994)

- Template file changed. Due to a bug in the WindowManager
- which caused the program to exit with an internal address
- exception error, the Quit window had to be changed, I
- changed the other windows to keep them all the same. The
- Bug work round has been removed.
- Some of the editors menus didn't treat the adjust buttons /
- keys correctly, this has been corrected.
- The 'Pattern' sub-menu option on the main menu is now shaded
- out unless a area has been selected first, this cured a bug
- regarding the 'Pattern' menu when all the options where
- shaded out.
- Hopefully the desktop front-end is more compliant with the
- Acorn Risc OS standards.
- A bug was discovered in the Menusystem when selecting sub-
- menus, hopefully this has been cured.
- The 'Display' option icon has been moved from the
- 'Preferences' window to the 'Save Details' window.
- The 'Preferences' window is no longer available as a sub-
- window, you must click the adjust button on the icon or the
- click the option to display the window.
- Each window now has 'OK' and 'Cancel' buttons, changes only
- take place when 'OK' has been clicked on.

- Most windows no longer have 'Close' icons, you should click
- on cancel to close a window and ignore the option changes.
- Clicking the editor, Save, Load, Delete or Default icons
- will close all the Preferences windows that are open.
- A new 'Load Details' window has been added.
- Some of the options have also been moved around from the
- various windows.
- Now the cursor position can be displayed while selecting an
- area.
- 'Hourglass' has been given the keyboard short-cut Ctrl & Alt
- & Shift & H.

- Wash block, Paint block and Global colour change can all
- now be aborted by pressing ESCape.

- Print LF option added. I have a new printer and it started
- adding a return when printting from the editor but not from
- any other application.
- Added 'Dull Template' and 'Colour Template' icons in the
- preferences window to allow the toggle of dull and colourful
- template files.
- Updated the 'UserGuide', hopefully accurate but no
- guarantees.
